Speed Bumps
Speed Bumps are supplied in 2 catagories. Narrow Speed Bumps and Wider Speed Bumps. The narrow speed bumps are usually only 10" across the path of travel of the wheel. The wider speed bump is usually 35 1/2" across. The narrow speed bumps are supplied in 72" wide sections that allow 2 panels to be placed and leaves an opening in the center of the roadway for emergency vehicles to have one set of wheels pass without moving the vehicle. The wider bumps may be installed with or without the center open.
Our low cost speed bump is produced from recycled plastic. It is solid plastic with 3 holes for installing quickly with 3 anchor bolts or 3 ground spikes. These can be repositioned quickly as traffic patterns change. These are the best low cost choice for 2 lane low speed, low volume roadways and parking lots.
Our wider speed bumps are more labor intensive as they have multiple panels that interlock and 6 or more fasteners per panel. But they have a more gradual slope and thus dont create such a jarring motion as the lower cost speed bumps.
