Caution
Caution traffic signs are used to indicate a hazard ahead on the road that may not be readily apparent to a driver.
Chevrons & Markers are used primarily on corners and near bridges. Turns, Curves & Intersections are just that--signs used to alert of upcoming turns and intersections. Roadway Conditions & Changes include Slippery When Wet, Rough Roads, Bumps, etc. Roadway Transitions are used for when divided highways begin or end, the road narrows, lanes merge, etc. Traffic Alerts & Changes are used to warn drivers of upcoming events such as dead ends, traffic signals and so on. Animal & Vehicle Crossing are for areas where animals, vehicles or pedestrians might be crossing the roadway. Railroad & Lite Railway are used to warn of intersections near railroad tracks, railroad advance warning etc. Supplemental plates are used in addition to other caution signs and can include speed limit notices, arrows, etc.
